A chainsaw license is an important proof that you can handle a chainsaw safely. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced user, you'll get the right training and certification to meet legal requirements and work safely in forests and fields.

CHAINSAW TRAINING - CLASS A AND B


At Kunskapskontoret, we offer chainsaw training for both individuals and companies - from basic handling to tree felling in forests.

You will learn how to operate a chainsaw in accordance with current safety regulations and gain skills in sawing techniques, protective equipment, inspection and maintenance.

The training ends with both theoretical and practical tests.

Who is the training for?

This training is for anyone working in logging, construction, forestry or maintenance where a chainsaw is used - whether you are new to the field or have previous experience.

You will need to bring your own saw and protective equipment to the course.

What will you learn in this course?

  • Using a chainsaw safely in different environments
  • Safety rules according to AFS 2012:01 & 2023:11
  • Sawing techniques (pulling/pushing chain, plunge cutting, splitting)
  • Tree felling, logging and sawmill maintenance
  • Checking protective equipment and daily supervision
  • Attitude and risk awareness for safe work

Class A (1 day)

  • Safety rules and risks
  • Saw technology, controls and daily supervision
  • Practical wood cutting and sawing in construction
  • Theoretical and practical test

Class B (3 days, incl. A)

  • Tree felling, pruning, cutting
  • Use of folding aids
  • Risk management for windthrown trees
  • Quality assurance and equipment care
  • Practical and theoretical test
 Step by step to completed training
  1. Select the level of education (A or A+B)
  2. Sign up and prepare protective equipment
  3. Participate in theory and practice in the chosen location
  4. Pass the theory and practical tests
  5. Get your chainsaw license and work safely
