Construction Work Environment Coordinator from Planning to Construction Phase

Ensure a safe working environment in construction projects – train as a construction work environment coordinator for planning (BAS P) and execution (BAS U).
The main task of BAS P is to participate in the planning and coordination of all work environment issues during the design and planning phase of a construction project. It is the client's responsibility to appoint a BAS P for construction and civil engineering work. BAS P ensures that work environment considerations are integrated as early as when architects, designers, and other project participants are designing the building. This includes developing a work environment plan and identifying risks that may arise during the construction phase. The goal is to eliminate or minimize risks already at the drawing board stage.

Every construction project requires a construction safety coordinator who is responsible for safety. BAS P / BAS U training gives you the right knowledge to take responsibility as BAS P (planning and design) or BAS U (execution).

You will learn how to apply the Swedish Work Environment Authority's rules (AFS) and create a work environment plan that protects both workers and contractors. BAS P / BAS U training is adapted for both Swedish and international participants.

When the construction project enters the execution phase, BAS U takes over operational responsibility for the work environment.BAS U is also responsible for ensuring that the work environment plan is followed and that safety regulations are complied with at the workplace. It is BAS U's responsibility to coordinate the work between the various contractors and to ensure thatthe various work tasks are performed safely. The work of BAS U involves a constant presence on site to identify new risks, ensure order and tidiness, and train and inform workers about applicable regulations.

These regulations specify the client's obligations to appoint qualified construction work environment coordinators BAS P and BAS U.
