How the education benefits you
Get a clear understanding on the cleaning, handling, safety regulations, risks, adjustment, of the brush cutter. Learn how to efficiently and safely clear grass and shrubs.
Upon completion of the course and tests, participants will receive a course certificate indicating the level, extent and content of the education.
Class content
Class RA
RA is the basic level the attendee will begin with. It equips the attendee with adequate skills for cleaning and handling of the brush cutter, plus efficient clearing of grass and shrubs.
The RA level also covers the RT level, i.e. if you have RA, you do not need to take RT.
Learn about:
- safety regulations and hazards
- starting and handling
- adjustment of harness / saw for good ergonomics for different types of work
- basic techniques for safe and efficient clearing / harvesting
- daily equipment care and maintenance
- saw control and protective equipment
Class RB
RB is a course on forest clearing, with an emphasis on working techniques for clearing young trees and undergrowth.
Learn about:
- safety regulations and hazards
- removal of "single-sectioned tree" (up to blade saw depth, 6–8 cm stub diameter), controlling its falling direction
- use of "double-cut / bypass technique" and "saved edge technique" on trees more than the blade depth of saw
- work planning (comprehensive and detailed)
- sawing of high branches and cutting the tree into sections
Class RT
RT is a special course for cutting only with plastic cutting tools. The content is basically the same as RA, but no metal cutting tools are used. The course is developed primarily for youths engaged in summer work.
